Sinead O’Doherty (Macdonald) has over two decades of experience working at the highest level of arts and entertainment PR in Ireland. After completing her BA in Communications at DCU where she focused on public relations, cultural studies, research methods, marketing, creative writing and photography, she went to work with Gerry Lundberg PR. After working 20 years together, they made a change and Sinead opened O’Doherty Communications where Gerry now works alongside her.

Festivals are an area Sinead loves working on and among those she has designed and spearheaded PR strategies and campaigns for are: Dublin Theatre Festival, Galway International Arts Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Cork Midsummer Festival, Wexford Festival Opera, Dublin Book Festival, Cinemagic, TradFest and MusicTown.

Sinead’s portfolio of work includes extensive experience in PR for theatre working with many of the leading production companies including Landmark Productions as well as the Abbey Theatre, The Gate and Gaiety Theatre. Projects include The Ark A Cultural Centre for Children, Riverdance, Dublin Lunar New Year and more. Projects have also included PR for many music gigs in venues of all sizes including Croke Park, 3Arena, Bord Gais Energy Theatre and Live at the Marquee Cork. These have included Bruce Springsteen’s Irish tour, Ed Sheeran’s Irish tour and Garth Brooks’ gigs at Croke Park.

Sinead has worked on unit Publicity on films / TV shooting in Ireland including The Tudors, Laws of Attraction, Evelyn & How About You. She has also been responsible for PR for many major launches, press conferences and premieres.

Gerry Lundberg has a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in PR. With previous experience as an actor, theatre manager and arts administrator, Gerry started his own company handling PR for the arts and entertainment sector. A Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, Gerry is also a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. His is an outstanding portfolio of work spanning over three decades and includes festivals, theatre, visual art, music, film and cultural events. From his extensive CV projects have included, productions in most of the theatre and performance spaces in Ireland, Wexford Festival Opera, Beckett Centenary Festival, Riverdance (including 7 years as International publicist for the show), The Pirate Queen, Heartbeat of Home, Dublin Theatre Festival, Drogheda Arts Festival, James Joyce Centre and Bloomsday Festival.                               

Gerry has extensive experience as unit publicist including Vikings, The Tudors, The Secret Scripture, The Field, Reign of Fire, In America, My Left Foot, Dancing at Lughnasa, RAT, P.S., I Love You, Laws of Attraction, In The Name of The Father, Evelyn, The Boxer and How About You and has handled many film premieres.

The team also includes administrative support.

Sinead O’Doherty and Gerry Lundberg are members of the PRII
